LOUNGE DRESS

DRESS // WEDGES (on sale and so easy to wear!) // NECKLACE // SUNGLASSES

This Black Lounge Dress from Indigo Arrow is so comfortable on- it doesn't feel like you are wearing anything! It is perfect for one of those easy, no-brainer outfit days. It does run a bit big, I'm wearing an XS and I'm typically a Small so I recommend sizing down one size. I wore black booty shorts underneath because in some light it could be a bit see through ;) This dress is under $25 which is awesome (such a steal!) I really love the slit so you can see some leg. The sunglasses I'm wearing are sold out as of now but I'm also loving these sunglasses by Quay Australia. They have a little thicker rim but still the cat eye shape and very retro looking. This gold tassle necklace is by Kendra Scott ($90) and I received it in my latest Rocksbox ($19/month)- it is perfect to pair with a long dress like this or long flowy blouse. You can still sign up for Rocksbox with my discount code "lipstickandjulesxoxo" and receive your first month with them free!

MAKEUP MONDAY- COLOR CORRECTORS

Hi everyone! Last week I was MIA - life happens and weddings are definitely in full swing right now (for those who don't know, I am a wedding coordinator as well!) I'm back this week with Makeup Monday and sharing my favorite color correcting products. First up is Stila's One Step Correct. This is a serum that corrects skin tone and also helps to brighten. I love this because it has three different color correctors swirled into one product and when you pump the product all three come out so it makes for a quick and easy application. There is lavender to help brighten, green to correct redness, and peach to illuminate and diminish the appearance of sun spots. The product is super light weight and feels very moisturizing on. I use it as a primer to begin my makeup. For redness correcting, I also really enjoy Urban Decay's Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid. It is great for covering up right on the spot of red areas on your face. It has a flocked applicator to pick up just the right amount of product and applies onto the skin beautifully. It is very easy to blend in and it has just the right amount of pigment. For those on a budget and not looking to spend a lot on a color corrector for reducing redness- ELF HD lifting concealer in green works great. It is a little more pigmented than the Naked fluid but it blends into the skin really well and helps to reduce redness. Plus it's only $3!

Tarte's wipeout color correcting palette is also a product I've been enjoying lately. It is a cream correcting palette that comes with 6 correcting shades including; green, orange, two peach shades, yellow, and a warm brown. I use the orange the most out of this palette to counteract darkness under my eyes. I also will use the peach shades mixed together to help cover up any blemishes. The green shade in this palette is a little more white looking on the skin so I don't reach for it as much as the Naked color corrector. The packaging on this product is great because it has a large round mirror in it :)

SAPPHIRE MOUNTAINS

INDIGO ARROW DRESS // LOVE ALWAYS SUNGLASSES(on sale!) // LOREN HOPE CUFF (code lipstickandjulesxoxo gets you the first month free!) // STEVE MADDEN HEELS (Sand Suede) // CHARMING CHARLIES CLUTCH // FOREVER 21 MIDI RINGS // NARS AUDACIOUS LIPSTICK IN RAQUEL

Blue is actually one of my favorite colors to wear. This dress from Indigo Arrow fits so nicely and is a great option to wear for any weddings coming up! I'm wearing a Small- it fits very true to size. I did have some issues with the wind here (we were in a very windy spot!!) I would recommend safety pinning the top if you know you will be in the wind ;) I love how the dress is cut into "two pieces" and the top is open from the skirt.  I also really enjoy the slit to see a little leg!

FREE PEOPLE

PALE-NESS....ALL ME ;)

The comfiest lightweight sweater award goes to.......THIS one. Free People always seems to have the softest sweaters and this one doesn't disappoint. I love the open back detailing and the oversized fit. It's ultra comfy and comes in a few other colors. It's still been super duper hot in LA lately so I paired it with some denim shorts and sandals. I can't wait to wear this sweater with boots and leggings though! I'm also loving THIS bralette I found at Nordstrom- it's perfect to wear under a sweater like this where the back is open and you can't really wear a regular bra. It comes in a variety of colors - I'm wearing pink peony.

MAKEUP MONDAY - CONTOUR

Happy Makeup Monday! Today I'm sharing my favorite products I use for contouring. I definitely over use the Anastasia contour kit. That is probably my staple go to out of all of these. I really love the color in the bottom row in the middle "Fawn" for contouring because it is a little cooler grey-ish toned which is perfect for creating that "shadow" contour right under my cheek bones. Nars Laguna and Benefit's Hoola are also two staples. I love how Hoola also comes with a little brush that I actually use! Usually, I just toss the brush that comes with a product but this one is perfect for contouring and creating that "line" and then blending out. I love the smooth texture of both Laguna and Hoola - they blend out really easily. The Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel is a MUST HAVE. I use it to bronze my face after applying foundation. It is a super velvety cream. When I apply the Soleil Tan De Chanel I use the Morphe E4 contouring brush as pictured above. I also really enjoy Smashbox Contouring Sticks if you are looking for a cream contour product. It also comes with a highlight and a bronze stick as well as the contour one. They melt and blend into your skin like a dream. You also get a sharpener in the kit as well which is handy because the stick is a bit chubbier than a normal sharpener. Real Techniques has some phenomenal brushes at really affordable prices. I love the face definer brush and the contour brush for contouring - I highly recommend!

JUST A POP OF TURQ

This look is all about the accessories. I paired a simple white tank and black jeans with some turquoise accessories. THIS Vanessa Mooney Kismet Necklace is one of my favorites. I love the layered look. THIS turquoise bangle is from ILYmix- they have a ton of cute accessories at really affordable prices. If you use the code "Jules20" you'll receive 20% off your purchase :) I just adore these Espadrille Wedges - they are so comfy to wear all day long and so stinkin' cute! They are also super easy to walk in.

BLACK ON BLACK

If you are looking for new knee-high boots for fall- these are them! I did snag these during the Nordstrom Anni sale - but you can still purchase them HERE. I am wearing the Chestnut Suede, they are also available in Black Suede. They are really easy to walk in and comfortable- I wore them for a few hours with no problems at all. I'm so so SO excited that fall is just around the corner!! Also, these leggings by Zella are super comfortable and a great staple to have in your closet. They are thicker material so they are not see-through! Definitely need that when you're going to be wearing a pair of leggings as your pants for the day ;)

MAKEUP MONDAY- LIP PLUMPERS

There are soooo many different "lip plumpers" out there on the market. Today I'm sharing the ones I've tried and the hits and misses. I'll start with the misses - GrandeLips Hydrating Lip Plumper is probably my least favorite out of the five products. It just didn't really do much of anything! The product says it is supposed to plump your lips within 3-5 mins and leave them plump for hours. To be honest, it didn't! Also, the packaging on this product is terrible. I couldn't tell which was the top that you open for the gloss to come out and which is the bottom to twist for product to come out. I opened the wrong end multiple times eventually pulling apart the product on accident. So this is a pass for me. The other one that was just so- so is GlamGlow's Plumprageous Lip Treatment - I have the Matte one. I do think it is cool how you can purchase a matte or a gloss treatment. I'm very fond of the GlamGlow product line so this product disappointed me a little bit. It is a nice base and helps to prime your lips for lipstick but it didn't plump my lips very much. The packaging on this one is a little strange as well. They made it look like an actual "lip injector"- the top of the product twists up and then you pull it out. It is easy to just want to pull it out without twisting- did that whoooops! I like the cool peppermint smell and feel on the lips. I just wish it plumped a bit more!

Now- on to the hits! I'm loving Dior's Lip Maximizer. I have the light pink one and I often will apply it to my lips while I'm doing the rest of my makeup and let it sink into my lips then dab it off and apply my lipstick. Or I will apply a dab of this gloss in the center of lips on top of my lipstick to create an even fuller lip. This product really helps to smooth out the lines on my lips and has a tingly peppermint feeling on the lips. I also really enjoy Too Faced Lip Injection Color Bomb. I have the "Bee Sting" one. I think they upgraded the formula from when I purchased mine. Mine is more of a "chubby stick" vs. a lipgloss. It really does feel like a bee sting on your lips after you apply it. I feel like that's how I know it is working though! It makes my lips feel bigger and plump. My all time favorite and winner of this bunch is Soap & Glory's Pillow Plump XXL in Coy Toy. This is a squeeze tube gloss and the color is a hint of pink leaning more towards a nude. This product makes your lips tingle for sure! It is the weirdest feeling. I'm wearing it above in my after picture. It makes my top lip look more plump. My lips feel bigger and juicier when wearing this product. I love it!

I hope this post helps you if you are looking for a new lip plumper without getting actual injections ;) If you have any recommendations on a lip plumper that you love leave suggestions below in the comments! I'd love to hear from you and to try some new ones out.
