FLORAL ROMPER

Rompers are the easiest outfit ever! You can just throw one on and go - plus you still look cute and put together. I found this one at Forever 21. I've linked some other cute floral rompers HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE. My sandals are from Nordstrom and linked HERE. I love how they lace up in the front and tie, they also zip up in the back. The nude color will go with a lot this summer. These round sunnies are from Forever as well - they are only $5.90! I linked them HERE. They are perfect to chuck in your bag and take to the beach or on a boat, since they are so inexpensive who cares if they get banged up a little ;) HERE is a similar gold watch like the one and I am wearing - I love it, it is a classic piece that goes with everything. I also am loving THIS Kate Spade watch, it is super cute and colorful - plus you can get is on sale right now! I'm also wearing THIS Zoe bracelet - makes for a happy wrist with some cute arm candy! My lipstick is Stila's Stay All Day liquid lipstick in Patina. I linked it HERE. I love the formula of these Stila lipsticks - sometimes liquid lipsticks can flake off and feel really drying. This doesn't do either when I wear it! I highly recommend!

MAKEUP MONDAY

Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to all of our vets - you are appreciated. I hope many of you get to relax today and enjoy some time off.

Today is also Makeup Monday in my world and I'm talking all about the original beautyblender. This is by far the BEST way to apply foundation. The sponge is so soft and bouncy it makes for the perfect application. It works best when damp. What I do is run my beautyblender under my faucet for a couple seconds, squeezing it occasionally, and then squeeze out the extra water with a clean paper towel or face cloth so the sponge is left damp. By getting it wet the sponge grows twice its size and small amounts of water sit in the sponge which prevents the sponge from absorbing up your product. When using the beautyblender for foundation - application goes so quick! You just bounce the sponge up and down and blend in the product. It leaves your face streak free and makes your foundation blend into your skin like it is just your skin ;)

You can also use the beautyblender to apply primers, powders, or other cream products like blush or bronzer - I've used it to "bake" under my eyes. The small neon green beautyblender micro.mini isn't my favorite out of these three - it is just a tad too small. I thought it would be great for applying concealer under my eyes but it is hard to grip! HOWEVER- I do think it is great to use to bake under your eyes! I use Laura Mercier Translucent Powder and pat the micro.mini in it and use the sponge to apply the powder under my eyes and let it sit for a few before dusting it off. The micro.mini is great for getting the inner corner of your eye. I want to try it for highlighting because I hear it is great for that too!

The black beautyblender pro is my fav out of these three. I find that it grows a bit larger when wet and it is bouncier. Plus it hides product a little better- it doesn't look dirty as quickly as the pink one. I know that might not be a good thing ;) Speaking of dirty - I use the beautyblender beautycleanser solid to clean my blenders. It is like magic! I try to clean my sponges often - not as often as I should but I'm working on it! This cleanser removes any germs or residue left on your sponge plus it is make specifically for beautyblender so it helps to keep the integrity of the sponge. It smells link a hint of lavender which I enjoy too.

If you want a flawless application for foundation - I suggest you try the beautyblender if you haven't already! I linked them all here - the original beautyblender, beautyblender pro, micro mini, and here is the beautycleanser solid.

GREIGE

TEE // Nordstrom | SUNGLASSES // Quay Australia at Nordstrom | JEANS // Similar HERE, HERE, & HERE | LEOPARD FLATS // Similar HEREHERE & HERE |  LIPS // L'Oreal Paris Le Matte  in 'Matte for Me' | NECKLACE // Love Always

This is the PERFECT tee to own. I love how oversized it is and it's super soft material and lightweight. It does run large but that's what I love about it. It comes in five different colors - definitely need to purchase some other colors! I know these sunglasses have become super popular in the blogging world but I just love them. I have an addiction to sunglasses- ESPECIALLY Quay sunglasses. They make the cutest accent to any outfit. I'll wear most of the 'not your typical' pairs of sunnies. I've never been a huge fan of white rimmed sunglasses but these just made the cut - I love how they look like marble! My lip color by L'Oreal is perfect for someone looking for a "matte" look but doesn't want it to feel drying on their lips. It is super comfortable on the lips and doesn't feel drying at all. Plus it really does last for long periods of time!

MAKEUP MONDAY - THE CLASSIC CAT EYE

Happy Makeup Monday :) I have to say this is my favorite look when doing makeup. I loooveee a good cat eye flick. Now, that being said - I don't actually like drawing on the wings themselves because it takes some concentration and it's always a little hard to get the wings even on each eye. They are sisters - not twins!

I've learned a few tricks by doing this so many times. I wear a wing pretty much everyday of my life - unless I feel too lazy to draw them ;) Trick #1 - get a good felt tip eyeliner with a sharp point. My all time favorite is Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper - linked HERE. It is by far the easiest and the blackest felt tip liner I have tried. It also lasts all day long - no joke! The brush is flexible but not too flexible that you can't get a sharp point. I love this liner so much, I will always have one in my makeup collection. I tried Kat Von D's Ink Liner and did not care for it. The brush was too stiff for me and I always had a hard time drawing on the flick, they would turn out way too thick. Trick #2 - draw on the liner on the top of your eyelid first on both eyes and do the flick after. I like to use NYC's liquid eyeliner in black to draw on my lash line. I mainly do this if I'm in a hurry because it is so quick and easy. The brush just glides on and with one swipe you are pretty much good to go, it applies just the right amount of product. It's also great because it's $3 at Target - linked HERE. After drawing on my lash line on both eyes, I'll go back in with the Tattoo Liner and draw on my flicks. Trick #3 - draw the flick starting with the bottom, draw out away from your eye then do the top creating a little triangle which you then color in.

I also will sometimes reach for Inglot's Eyeliner Gel in 77 - linked HERE. It is so creamy and smooth that it makes for an easy application, plus the eyeliner does not transfer on the top of my eyelid throughout the day like others have done to me before and no one likes that! I"ll apply it using either Sigma's winged liner brush or Makeup Geek's bent liner brush. Both are solid options. Sigma's winged liner brush is super small and angled so it helps to create the perfect flick. Makeup Geek's bent liner brush has a bent brush head to help align with your lashline perfectly. It is a small brush that is pointed so again it's perfect for helping you create a flick. Finally trick #4 - use a pointed q-tip and some makeup remover to help sharpen the line, especially if you draw the liner on too thick this can help clean it all up.
