LIP RENEW

My lips were feeling uber chapped up the other day. I had a wedding last weekend and barely had time to throw on some chapstick all day - my lips got pretty chapped with the wind and being in the sun all day. This combo shown above saved my lips. I hate the feeling of your lips just flaking and crumbling. It makes it difficult to wear any lipstick! I am a Lush lover so my first step was to scrub my lips with Lush's Lip Scrub in Bubblegum. It is made with sugar (to exfoliate) and jojoba oil (to moisturize). This lip scrub smells so yummy - you can eat it ;) It is messy so be sure to do this over the sink. I then did a double whammy and used Skinlogics Lip Apeel. This is a combo product - the bottom opens up to this white cream called the "line peel" which exfoliates your lips. You apply the white cream (look like a freak for about 5-10 mins and let it dry) then wipe it off with a wet face towel. The line peel is also said to help minimize vertical lines around your lips. After you wipe the line peel off you apply the lip balm which is in the top part of the product. This balm is feels super nourishing- it soothes your lips. It smells fresh and fruity too which is a plus. My lips feel back to normal now - I love both of these products. They actually work!

TRAVEL ESSENTIALS

I'm packing for Stagecoach and I thought I'd share some of my travel essentials for the weekend. Me and my girlfriends have been looking forward to this weekend for quite some time! We can't wait to be in the sun and relax and listen to music together. They are going to be long days in the sun so I made sure to pack my sunscreen! Hawaiian Tropic has been my fav - it is lightweight and keeps me from getting sunburned plus I enjoy the tropical smell. I also packed along this After Sun moisturizer - I'm obsessed with the lime coolada fragrance. It smells like a Hawaiian vacation and it soothes skin after being in the sun all day. My favorite face sunscreen is by Tarte called Tarteguard 30- I wear it under my makeup because it is so lightweight and it protects my skin! This Hurraw! balm is one of my favorites for being in the sun with a SPF 15. Hurraw! is all natural and vegan - they have so many different scent balms - you should check them out, their balms are amazing!

When I travel I like to bring my "travel sizes" with me to take up less space in my bags. I brought along this cute mini Wet Brush - it is perfect for when you get out of the pool and need to detangle! I threw in my bag my travel size NARS mascara and gloss (in orgasm) and Tarte's lights, camera, flashes. I also packed along my Makeup Forever Step 1 hydrating primer to help keep my make up stay in place all day long. This primer helps to moisturize your skin before applying make up. Urban Decay's All Nighter setting spray is also a must have in my travel bag- this really sets your make up in place and holds it all day long. Perfect for this weekend!

I just started to try out Lancome's Bi Facil eye makeup remover- I got it as a 500 point perk at Sephora but dang this stuff really removes all of your eye makeup and mascara! I'm loving it. I got a sample size so it's perfect for travel. I snuck in some of MACs paint pot in soft orchre, this really helps my eyeshadow stay put and it doesn't crease throughout the day. My "Mascara is Always a Good Idea" bag is found HERE at Pattern LA. They have sooo many cute different styles.

Thanks for stopping by and to whoever is going to Stagecoach I hope ya'll have a great time! ;)

LOVE IS IN THE HAIR

I manage a hair salon so I'm around hair and beauty quite often. It was time for me to freshen up my locks. Noora Ahmad aka Hair by Noora worked her magic on my hair the other day. I asked to be blonder - I wanted a brighter beige-y blonde balayage. She gave me that! The last time I had my hair balayage'd fully was in November! It is absolutely crazy the amount of time you can go in between getting your hair done when you get your hair balayage'd. It grows out so soft. I used to be all over platinum blonde and was getting my hair done every 4 weeks (I'm naturally brunette) - so 5 months is quite a long time for me to go. I got toners in between to keep my hair looking fresh. Noora trimmed up my hair a bit to keep the ends looking healthy. She used a technique called "babylights" and also bleached the ends of my hair. She used a ton of Olaplex to keep the integrity of my hair (thaaank you!!).

The products pictured above are products I use on my hair at home and products Noora used on my hair before styling. Redken's One United Spray has recently and quickly become my go to leave in treatment for my hair. It is an all in one multi benefit hair treatment that improves manageability, protects, and helps with the beauty of hair.

I'm also obsessed with Moroccan Oil. Not only does it smell delicious but it also conditions your hair and adds shine. Finally, she used Kenra Platinum Blow-Dry Spray before blow drying and styling my hair. This seriously cuts my blow drying time in HALF- no joke it really is magic. It also provides protection from heat for my hair. I always use a heat protectant on my hair before using any kind of heat. Because of all the bleaching I've done to my hair - I use the best products I can find to protect my hair and keep it healthy. THIS wet brush is the best ever to detangle your hair - I use it every time I get out of the shower and my hair is wet. Never going back to a regular brush...
Thanks Noora for my hair :)

JUST CASUAL

LIPS // Kat von D - Lolita + Smashbox O-Gloss Gold

Today called for two things- something casual and something warm. It was a bit chilly today so long sleeves and pants was a must. I got this burgundy scoop neck long sleeve from the BP. section in Nordstrom. It comes in a variety of colors. I also own it in white. My jeans are from TJ Maxx. These chuck taylors are my favorite sneakers. The white goes with so many outfits. This Kate Spade watch is also a staple in my wardrobe. It is so cute and simple, I love the gold. I wear it so often for when I'm working a wedding. Always need to know what time it is to keep the show movin! I also am wearing an Alex and Ani bangle with a "J" initial and this rhinestone bracelet by Itchelita Jewelry. My necklace is Kate Spade as well. I love anything with my initials on it ;)

PINKING OF SUMMERTIME

LIPS// nars audacious lipstick in Raquel | dior lip maximizer in pink on top for PLUMP & GLOSS.

OK so I put on this dress ready for summertime - the weather LOOKED and said it was supposed to be in the 70s today. Turns out it was freezing and windy - can't tell though huh ;) It even rained on me coming home from work. Those weather men- never can see it comin! Anywho- Tory Burch is one of my favs - this leather hobo bag has lasted me foreverrrrr, definitely worth the splurg! This hot pink shift dress is by a brand called Mittoshop and it is bright pink! It is so comfy and perfect to chuck on. I think of Palm Springs when I wear this dress. Wishing I was at The Parker right this very moment. My earrings are from ASOS- they are called the "Pom Pom Party Earring" and that's exactly what they are, a pom pom paarttty! They are fun and make such a big statement that I feel like you don't need to wear other jewelry. These Tory sandals go with pretty much everything, I adore them.
P.S. I hope you all aren't blinded by my pasty leggies. Time for some Loving Tan- I knoow.

MAKEUP MONDAY

Welcome to my first Makeup Monday! On Mondays I'll bring you a new makeup item that I have been loving. Today it is Dior's 'Addict' Lip Maximizer. It comes in two different colors- Pink and Beige Sunrise. I got the pink lip maximizer which is pictured above. I'm loving it so far. It is kind of a minty scent/flavor. When you first put it on it tingles just a little - which I like personally because I feel like it's working to plump up my lips. It is said that this lip treatment stimulates collagen synthesis and restructures lips within 15 days. I'm going to keep using it for 15 days and let you know if I see a difference in my lips. From first application I noticed my lips plump up a bit, plus the glossy look enhances the full-ness of your lips. This gloss is not sticky which I like, it is a little more watery texture. I used Essence lip liner in "Wish me a Rose" to line my lips and then applied the Lip Maximizer. Essence liners are a great affordable option for lip liners. They stay put all day and are easy to apply. Stay posted for more!
P.S. My necklace is from Forever 21 & earrings are from Nordstrom.

OLIVE YOU

I know some people don't get the whole 'ripped jeans' trend but I personally think ripped denim is so so cute! I feel super relaxed and comfy in a pair of ripped jeans. Ripped jeans + a plain t-shirt + killer sunnies is one of my favorite outfits. I found these jeans at Zara (linked here). I absolutely adore Zara, they have so many cute things! Whether it be casual or business attire - Zara is one of my 'go tos'. This BOW NECKLACE is from Itchelita Jewelry, it is so simple yet super cute to throw on with outfits. The leaf ear cuff I'm wearing is from Kitsch. I love ear cuffs! They feel super edgy. My white shirt is from Nordstrom, linked here (on sale). My olive sweater is also from Nordstrom- it is no longer in stock but THIS is similar and super cute. I love how long it is! Plus it is also on sale ;) Sunglasses are QUAY Australia....again! Love them. My booties are LC Lauren Conrad from Khols.

ELEPHANTS

I found this tank at TJ MAXX and thought it was fun with the little elephants on it. The elephant symbolizes strength and power. Qualities I wish for on the daily! This outfit is very relaxed- I didn't try too hard here....obvi ;) Jeans are ZARA. Sparkle sandals are from Khols. My bracelets were gifted to me by my dear friend Aubrey. She's always been a fighter and always put faith into me - I love her!  I guess you could say this outfit was inspired by her. Sending much love to you in AZ my friend.

Spring Florals

I love the blues and purples in this floral sheer top I found at Forever 21. I'm really into the floral print right now for spring time. Warning- the sleeves get caught in everything, so you have to be careful ;) I've linked a few of my floral favs from Forever including THIS top, I love the heart detailing on the back - THIS one is super cute with the flare arms and self tie front (perfect for festival season) - and THIS cream floral overlay top is so dainty and girly. My jeans are from Shop Bop - you can also find them on Nordstrom (on sale right now!). Obsessed with these gold sunnies from Quay Australia. My lipstick is Raquel by Nars- such a pretty and creamy nude! I love the Audacious line, they made the packaging so sleek. My necklace is Kendra Scott 'Elisa' in rose gold. Shoes are from Khols! I found them awhile ago but they are so comfy- they have a cushion sole so they are easy to wear all day long!

Made with Love

This dress is super special. It's not one you can buy online or anything- my mom actually made it when she was 19! She designed this pink dress in a sewing class she took in school. My mom wore it when she was young(er) ;) and now I get to wear it! I will treasure it forever. It is very feminine and made me feel like a princess with the full skirt and bow detail on the back. I linked my Tory sandals here. They go with everything and are so easy to throw on!
