UTILITY JACKET // TEE // JEANS // SCARF // SLATE MOONLIGHT DAYDREAM CUFF (first month free with code lipstickandjulesxoxo // SUNNIES // WATCH // PURSE // BOOTIES // LIPSTICK - Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Rocksteady

This utility jacket is from Forever 21 and it's perfect for the California weather right now because it isn't a heavy jacket and the weather just isn't cooperating with my fall time wishes. It's super cute to just throw on if you want a lighter weight jacket. I like how it has a drawstring waist and a hood. I folded up the sleeves a bit but it is a long sleeve jacket. I linked very similar items above to what I'm wearing as some items I couldn't find online anymore. The olive green infinity scarf I got a while ago but I think mixing any leopard print and stripes makes for a good mix and match of patterns. A red lip is my favoriteeeee. This color red is so perfect and the lipstick formula from Urban Decay is very comfortable. It is a satin finish and keeps your lips feeling moisturized while wearing. They sent me this Slate cuff in my Rocksbox and I loved it so much I ended up buying it. I had $10 "shine credit" so got a little more money off the already discounted piece. I just love Rocksbox so much! Don't forget about my discount code which will get you your first month free. In that month you could get a couple boxes ;)

Thanksgiving Tablescape

As an event coordinator, I love making a party come to life. Piecing items together to create a great tablescape is part of the fun! The holidays are my FAVORITE time of year and I thought I'd share with you some items that would look great on your dinner table for those of you hosting Thanksgiving this year. I went with classic white and the accent of gold with some pops of orange and brown. Where do you guys enjoy shopping for your holiday decor? Comment below! All items pictured are linked above.

SWEATER // JEANS // BOOTS // PURSE // SUNGLASSES (DUPES - only $12!) // NECKLACE - Jules Smith "Goddess Necklace" (get your first month free with code lipstickandjulesxoxo)  // BELT

I was so excited to go to San Francisco to get to wear a sweater and boots and not be hot while wearing them! Although, the walking around the city did make me warm! These boots are super easy to walk in. I love them so much! They also come in black. The sweater I'm wearing is from Nordstrom and it is so comfy. It's perfect for a cold winter day. It's under $40 and comes in 3 other colors- definitely a good winter find.

Today I wanted to talk about Tarte. Tarte is brand that I recently started using and I'm loving so much of their line that I thought I'd share. They are a cruelty-free cosemtics line and their products are all formulated without parabens, mineral oil, synthetic fragrances or gluten. With Tarte, you get all the good stuff in your products and none of the icky stuff! ;) I always start by prepping my skin with an SPF. I super enjoy the Tarteguard 30. It isn't sticky and is super lightweight. Some sunscreens I've tried on my face feel super oily and thick and I just feel like I'm going to break out right away after using so I really enjoy how lightweight the formula is on the Tarte sunscreen lotion. Tarteguard is mainly made up of Zinc and has an SPF 30. Just what I want to help protect my skin from getting more dark spots and fine lines.

Next up- I color correct any dark spots and red spots I already have been blessed with....ha! This Rainforest of the Sea Wipeout Color-Correcting Palette really helps to correct my skin tone. I use the orange color under my eyes to correct the dark spots and the green color on any redness I want to tone down. These formulas are also lightweight so it doesn't feel like you are clogging any pores when you apply it to your skin. I use a concealer brush and just spot correct. I also sometimes will use the bronze shade to cream bronze my cheeks. It blends in super easy because it is so creamy. I also love the packaging on this product. The mirror you get is so nice and big plus the compact feels super sturdy.

Now onto foundation and concealer. The Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF is a really nice foundation. I don't love the packaging - you use the dropper to apply the foundation onto your beauty sponge or brush or even directly on your face. I much prefer a pump foundation. I found the application goes better by dropping the foundation onto my beauty sponge. I've been using the Morphe sponge lately which is more dense than the Beauty Blender. You're able to choose the amount of coverage you get by the amount of drops you use. I typically using 3-4 drops for a medium to full coverage. It has a very satin finish to it and does blend well into your skin. I also enjoy how this foundation has an SPF 15 as well. I have the shade Fair Neutral. The concealer- I'M OBSESSED with. I use the light shade because I like to highlight under my eyes as well as conceal. It is called the Rainforest of the Sea Aquacealer Concealer (clever names if you haven't noticed). It has this large doe-foot applicator wand that is just perfection. I usually dot under my eyes with the wand first then draw out from under my eyes in a triangle. It blends in like a dream and delivers medium coverage and does not crease throughout the day when set with a light powder.

Close up of skin and lashes.....eeeee

This lash curler is literally the BEST one on the market I swear. It makes my lashes so curled and it has lasted me forever. I highly recommend you purchasing to have in your makeup collection for everyday use. Do yourself a favor and be a Curl Boss. The mascara is so so - but you can get a travel size and the lash curler for $20! So I say- go for it ;)

The Rainforest of the Sea Lipsaver Treatment Primer is super duper interesting. It is a white cream balm that completely smooths out your lips and your fine lines seem to disappear. It "primes and preps" your lips for lipstick. It is said to protect your lips and also promote firmness and elasticity. In the photo above I also used the Rainforest of the Sea Quench Lip Rescue in Nude (going with the theme ;) Ughhhh I'm completely in love with these lip balms. They feel SO SO nouriching on your lips. It is a minty peppermint scent and is so cooling and refreshing when you apply onto your lips. The lip rescue feels like butter and looks really glossy with a hint of color. I want all 4 of them!! I could wear the balm all day everyday- seriously.

I'm happy I was able to make some time to shoot another post out- I know it's been awhile.

I was intrigued by the Smashbox Brow Tech Shaping Powder and really wanted to try it out. I saw it on @stilettobeats Instagram and thought it made her brows look really good! I use Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer every day so I thought it would be fun to try something new. Welllll, unfortunately for me- I did not enjoy the brow tech shaping powder. The sponge applicator felt like it barely had any product on it and what little product came out on it, fell off onto my cheeks. It is so powdery and leaves fall out on your face. The directions tell you to tap off the product before applying which I did but there was still fall out. Also, the color was very orange. I got the blonde color shaping powder- I like my brows to look a bit lighter than they truly are because I dye my hair blonde. It just didn't look good. I use the Anastasia Brow Definer in blonde as well and that blonde is more of an ashy color which I like. Another down side to the brow tech was that it took super long to finish applying. With the brow definer it takes me 2 minutes to do my eyebrows and the brow tech took forever and a day because not enough product was coming off to shape my brows. I still will reach for the brow definer always, I much prefer it.  The angle on the product is helpful and so easy to use when filling in your brows. I also love how the Anastasia product has a spooly on the opposite end so you can brush through your brows and blend in the product more. The Smashbox Brow Tech Shaping Powder is a pass for me. What eyebrow products do you love and use?! Leave me some comments below.

It was a casual Beverly Hills wine tasting event at Kyle by Alene Too featuring White Girl Rosé and Babe Rosé with bubbles. A couple of my girlfriends and I went and had a blast. Because you know, we are so basic. I do love myself a glass of rosé- add some bubbles + the Housewives and call it heaven. I love loved the chandelier with the dripping roses! They were serving the rosé with these massive straws (long enough to pop right in a whole bottle of wine if you wanted to) that said "you're basic" on them. The packaging and branding on this rosé just calls to me, I kinda love it. They were filming for the new season of Beverly Hills Housewives and being a Bravo housewives fan I was secretly freaking out inside. I love all these ladies on the show and it was fun getting to meet them in person. LVP is my fav- sadly I have no pictures to show for it but she was there with Ken. She is such a lady boss and I admire her! Plus her love for animals makes me so happy. What I would give to go to Villa Rosa and play with Rumpy- heart eyes x a million. Outfit details below(excuse the iPhone pics!). xx

Thanks for having us Kyle! xoxox

I had a wedding work weekend in Newport Beach recently so I took advantage and took some photos while we were there :) I am loving burgundy right now and this bell sleeve romper caught my eye. It is from Target & under $30! It's perfect for the weather right now because it is September (almost October) and still a million degrees out. I want it to be fall weather so badly that I'm trying to incorporate fall into my wardrobe slowly but surely. These shoes are super cute but take incredible patients to put on! They lace up and also zip in the back. I was so disappointed because they gave me a big blister on my left heel (I'm really hoping it's because they are new and just need to be broken in more!) I love the camel color and they are suede. Perfect fall flats. My crossbody is also from Target ;) Love that place!
